Volunteer Crew Info

Are you ready to join the crew? Find out by checking if you meet these important requirements:

Volunteers must be…

—18 years old or older.
— responsible, punctual, motivated and customer service oriented.
— able to follow directions and perform specific assigned duties.
— able to attend a mandatory meeting on Saturday April 21st from 11am – 1pm. If unable to attend you will have the opportunity to complete an E-training. You must sign up for the E-training by Wednesday April 18th. 
— able to volunteer at least one full day or two half shifts, one on each day.

Fri. April 27th 
• 10am – 8pm (Full Day) 
• 10am – 3:30pm (Shift A) 
• 3pm – 8pm (Shift B) 

Sat. April 28th 
• 9am – 7pm (Full Day) 
• 9am – 2:30pm (Shift A) 
• 2pm – 7pm (Shift B) 

Sun. April 29th 
• 9am – 6pm (Full Day) 
• 9am – 2pm (Shift A) 
• 1:30pm – 6pm (Shift B) 

Volunteer Opportunities 

Registration 
Scan in tickets for attendees and distribute admission wristbands.

Cosplay Prop Check 
Provide prop and costume checks to ensure that all props and costumes are in compliance with our Prop Weapons Policy and General Cosplay and Conduct Rules.

Information Booth 
Answer general inquiries, sign up cosplay contest participants and relay information to staff members. 

Merchandise Booth 
Sell items in our merch booth and help attendees find something they will take home to remember their amazing time at Fan Weekend. 

Crowd Control 
Manage lines and crowds to ensure the safety of all attendees, help attendees navigate through lines and to locations. Monitor entrances to ensure attendees have appropriate access credentials

Stage Crew
Manage lines and panel seating, lineup and prepare the cosplay contest partcipants and assist the sound/lighting crew. 

Exhibitor Services 
Assist our exhibitors who may have questions or concerns, relay messages to staff members. 

Disability Services Team
Facilitate appropriate accommodations and accessibility for guests with disabilities. ASL interpreters needed.

Silent Auction
Help us run our silent auction to benefit a great charity. You will need to assist attendees by helping them place their bids and inform them of what we are auctioning off and how the silent auction works. Call the winners and make sure everyone gets their items at the end of the auction.
